Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team and assist in providing exceptional dental care to our patients. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the dentist, ensuring the smooth operation of the dental clinic, and promoting oral health practices.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing patients for dental procedures and treatments
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments following infection control protocols
- Perform four-handed dentistry techniques efficiently
- Familiarity with dental terminology, prosthodontics, endodontics, and general dentistry procedures
- Take X-rays and process dental images accurately
- Provide chairside assistance during dental procedures
- Maintain patient records and documentation in compliance with regulations
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care instructions
- Manage inventory and supplies within the dental clinic
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a dental clinic or similar setting is preferred
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar practice management software is a plus
- Knowledge of infection control procedures and maintaining a safe clinical environment
- Familiarity with operating X-ray equipment and processing radiographs
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients of all ages
