The Customer Excellence Planner is responsible for the day-to-day operations for a portfolio of customers. They are accountable for the successful execution of the first phase of the Load Lifecycle, which includes tender management, scheduling, rescheduling, and TMS load maintenance. The Customer Excellence Planner is also responsible for obtaining customer approval and assigning accessorial charges to loads where deemed necessary, communicating tracking statuses to the customer, and ensuring all TMS customer data is complete and accurate.

Responsible for building, accepting or declining, scheduling and rescheduling of all loads within Red Classic’s TMS by utilizing customer email communication and/or portal access. Factors in hours-of-service requirements, transit times, and operational characteristics of each load when scheduling to ensure on-time service for the customer.

Serves as a point of contact by proactively communicating to customers when there are service issues or equipment constraints, while building and developing relationships with day-to-day contacts within all assigned customer accounts

Conducts daily tracking and tracing of all loads that are scheduled to pick up and/or deliver and ensures load data is accurate to ensure timely billing and collections

Responsible for obtaining all needed customer approvals prior to adding accessorial charges to a load. Accountable to the accuracy of accessorial charge calculations and coding with the TMS

Responsible for ensuring all Company Profiles are maintained with all required and accurate data.

Knowledge acquired through minimum of 1 year of work experience

An Associate degree preferred.
Normal office environment, some warehouse, and manufacturing plant exposure (noisy conditions, extreme temperatures)
