Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and delivering high-quality meals to our customers. Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Assist in menu planning and recipe development
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistent quality and taste
- Cook food items according to established standards and customer preferences
- Monitor food stock levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of ingredients and equipment
- Adhere to food safety and handling procedures at all times
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals
- Assist with plating and presentation of dishes as needed
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Line Cook/Prep Cook or similar role in the food industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques
- Proficient knife skills for cutting, slicing, and dicing ingredients
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to ensure efficient meal preparation
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Culinary degree or certification is preferred but not required
