Southern Maine Aviation (SMA) is looking for a full-time General Aviation Mechanic to join our team. Must have own tools, work occasional overtime and some weekends. Robinson Helicopter and Light Sport with Rotax experience is a plus. Responsible for maintaining A&P certificate IAW FAA regulations and manufactures procedures. The job includes servicing, maintaining, repairing, operational testing airframe, engine systems and other general duties assigned by the Maintenance Director. The job also includes 50hr / 100hr inspections and routine maintenance on flight school aircraft. The physical ability to stand for long periods of time, kneeling, bending and lifting daily is essential to this job. You must pass DOT pre-employment drug / alcohol testing and random DOT screenings. A background check is required.
The weekly work schedule is typically M-F 7:00 - 3:30. Must be able to work occasional OT and some weekends.
