MISSION: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Westchester County is a chapter of BBBS of America Federation, a youth mentoring organization serving children, ages 7 to 17, who live in New York’s Westchester and Putnam counties. Our mission is to help all children achieve their full potential in school and in life. We do that by providing young people who face adversity with professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. We operate under a Big/Little model which matches adult volunteers (our Bigs) with children ages 7 - 17 (our Littles). The meaningful and enduring relationships we create have been proven to positively impact our Littles’ lives by keeping them in school and away from violence and substance abuse.
