Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
- Assist with patient transfers and mobility
- Provide basic patient care, such as changing bed linens and assisting with meals
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients
Skills:
- Ability to lift and move patients safely and with proper body mechanics
- Knowledge of airway management techniques and the ability to assist with respiratory care
- Strong patient care skills, including empathy, compassion, and effective communication
- Experience working in assisted living or long-term care settings
- Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to providing exceptional patient service
- Proficiency in performing sutures and wound care procedures
- Experience administering injections and medication under the supervision of a licensed nurse or physician
- Knowledge of pediatric patient care principles and practices
- Competency in venipuncture techniques for blood collection
- Ability to ventilate patients using manual resuscitation bags or mechanical ventilators
