POSITION SUMMARY
The Global Director of Information Technology is responsible for the selection, implementation, optimization, and the ongoing support of major business applications and information technology systems for Bollman Hat Company. The Global Director of IT is also accountable for network management, cybersecurity, user support, application/desktop management, asset management, IT project management, user relations/communications, disaster recovery, business continuity, research, and implementation of technological advancements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop and implement the global IT strategy in alignment with the company’s business objectives.
- Drive digital transformation initiatives to enhance business efficiency and innovation.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for technology-driven growth.
- Oversee the global IT infrastructure, including data centers, networks, and enterprise systems.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and security of IT systems and services.
- Implement best practices for IT service management (ITSM) and continuous improvement.
- Develop and enforce robust cybersecurity policies and procedures.
- Monitor and respond to security incidents and vulnerabilities.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a global IT team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Manage resource allocation and budgeting for the IT department.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects and initiatives.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Utilize project management methodologies and tools for effective project governance.
- Manage relationships with key technology vendors and service providers.
- Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Engage with internal stakeholders to understand their needs and deliver effective IT solutions.
- Oversee data governance and ensure the integrity, availability, and security of corporate data.
- Promote the use of data analytics to drive business insights and decision-making.
- Implement data management strategies that support business intelligence and reporting.
- Other duties/tasks that may be assigned.
Skills
- Strong strategic thinking and business acumen.
- Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
- Proficient in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT leadership roles, with at least 5 years in a global or multi-national organization.
- Proven track record of leading successful digital transformation initiatives.
- Extensive experience in managing large-scale IT operations and projects.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or a related field is preferred.
Licenses/Certification [list required and desired licenses/certifications relevant to the job]
- Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, CISSP, or CISM are highly desirable.

- Access to reliable transportation
- Ability to work with or near wool material and products
- Ability to work in environments that can become extremely hot/humid
