Infant/toddler Teacher
Point Loma Community Church Preschool & Infant Center uses techniques of emergent curriculum and play based learning to promote social and emotional development as well as allowing the children to guide their learning to promote a lifelong love of education. We are a Christian preschool connected to Point Loma Community Presbyterian Church and seek a professional that has a strong Christian faith and is able to incorporate it in daily school activities.
- Monday through Friday from 8:00-4:30 or 8:30-5:00
- Must have a minimum 12 ECE units to be a qualified teacher.
- Must have an infant/toddler class
- Experience working with children is preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities of the infant teacher will include, but will not be limited to the following:
- Assist in planning and implementing the daily program under the direction of the teacher
- Assist in planning and preparing the learning environment, setting up interest centers, and preparing needed materials and supplies.
- Assist in supervising the playground and other outdoor activities.
- Assist with the general housekeeping tasks by straightening the room at transition times and cleaning up after class.
- Preparing and serving snacks, bottles, and meals
- Helping with toileting and diaper changing.
- Helping set up cots for nap & cribs as needed.
- Assist the teacher in any other appropriate ways, keeping adult conversation to a minimum, providing a model in usage of appropriate words and behavior with the children. Serve as a positive liaison with parents
- Maintain a professional attitude at all times
- Being able to multi-task
- Treat all children with dignity and respect
- Attend all staff meetings and training programs and workshops/conferences
- Carry out appropriate and positive guidance techniques as established by the school
- Being familiar with and handling emergency procedures
- Modeling appropriate social skills and nutrition habits for the children.
- Communicating the philosophy of the program to others.
- Perform other assigned duties as directed by the lead teacher or Director.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
