Lead Maintenance Technician - Plastics Manufacturing
Position Overview
The Lead Maintenance Technician for Plastics Manufacturing will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance operations of a plastics manufacturing plant. This role requires extensive knowledge and experience in plastics and maintenance, as well as strong leadership skills to manage a team of technicians.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians in the plastics manufacturing plant

Create and implement a preventative maintenance plan to ensure efficient operation of equipment

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

Perform regular inspections and maintenance tasks on equipment and machinery

Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to diagnose and repair issues
-
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance
-
Train and mentor maintenance technicians on proper procedures and techniques
-
Collaborate with production and engineering teams to identify and resolve equipment issues

Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or equivalent, technical degree or certification preferred

5+ years of experience in plastics manufacturing maintenance
-
Strong knowledge of plastics and plastics manufacturing processes
-
Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics systems
-
Previous experience in a lead or supervisory role

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
