Job Summary:
Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the manual lathe and milling machine to produce precision parts and fixtures. They will also be responsible for interpreting manufacturing drawings to determine the dimensions and tolerances of finished products.
Responsibilities:
- Set up, adjust, and operate a variety of machine tools.
- Measure, examine, and test completed parts to ensure they meet specifications.
- Monitor feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
- Properly maintain and clean machines, tools, and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
- Use precision tools, such as micrometers and calipers, to verify dimensions.
- Confer with engineering or manufacturing personnel to discuss and resolve machining problems.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols.
- Document and maintain machinery maintenance logs.
- Collaborate with a team to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in operating lathe machine.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings.
- Strong knowledge of various metals and the machining processes for each.
- Understanding of speeds and feeds for common materials
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
