Reporting to the Chief Brand Strategy Officer, the Associate Vice President, External Affairs drives Adena Health's mission of "called to serve its communities" through the development and execution of the organization's external and community stakeholder strategy, encompassing community health and development programming, school-based wellness, grant and sponsored program management, community partnerships, outreach and community engagement, and government relations. The AVP will focus on elevating Adena Health's role in positively impacting the health of the residents in our nine-county service area by directing a portfolio of initiatives that connect clinical care with community-based programing, maximizing current and fostering new community partnerships, and expanding relationships with legislative and policy makers. This position represents Adena Health in key community partnerships, and facilitates funding strategy to support the organization's community-directed programming and strategic growth opportunities.
Required Educational Degree: Bachelor's Degree
Major/Area of Concentration: Public Health, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Social Work, or related field Preferred Education: Master's Degree in related field
Required Experience: 12+ years of progressive experience in external affairs, community engagement, public health, grants management, government relations, or other relevant roles. Must have 7+ years of experience leading successful teams and demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing or executing community/public health programs.
