Senior care facility looking for housekeepers to maintain cleanliness and safety. This role involves ensuring a sanitary and pleasant environment
Key Responsibilities:
- General Cleaning and Maintenance:
- Clean and sanitize resident rooms, common areas, restrooms, and kitchens.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning tasks as assigned.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and disinfect surfaces and floors.
- Maintain cleanliness of windows, walls, and other surfaces.
- Collect and dispose of trash and recyclables.
- Healthcare Terminal Cleaning:
- Perform terminal cleaning, including environmental cleaning and disinfection of equipment and high-touch surfaces.
- Use specialized cleaning solutions and disinfectants for infection control.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare sanitation standards and protocols.
- Clean and disinfect medical equipment and furniture.
- Infection Control:
- Follow infection control procedures to minimize the spread of infectious diseases.
- Understand and adhere to guidelines for the use of PPE (personal protective equipment).
- Perform deep cleaning in areas exposed to infectious agents.
- Supplies Management:
- Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and equipment.
- Properly store and label cleaning chemicals.
- Record Keeping:
- Maintain records of cleaning activities and supplies used.
- Document any incidents or issues observed during cleaning tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Experience and Skills:
- Previous housekeeping experience in a healthcare or residential care setting preferred.
- Basic understanding of infection control and sanitation practices.
- Physical Demands:
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
