Position: Senior Engineer, Product Applications (San Jose, California)
Duties: Advise automotive strategic partners for innovative portfolio of serializer/deserializer (SERDES) solutions. Identify and understand customer needs and opportunities; propose system solutions; and support design-in activities. Collaborate with partner System-on-Chip/ Field Programmable Gate Array (SoC/FPGA) system architects on serial link solutions for high-bandwidth data connectivity of cameras, displays, and data converters. Implement SERDES technology together with design and applications teams. Create design documentation, and debug system design and component level failures. Perform SERDES level debugging and related component issues. Write and debug C/C++ code for systems software integration. Develop SoC/FPGA integration with SERDES IP blocks. Communicate and present technical topics. Partial telecommute benefit (2 days WFH).
Requirements: Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related field of study (willing to accept a foreign education equivalent) plus two (2) years of experience as an Electrical Engineer or related occupation in post-silicon validation with shell and Python scripts. Specific skills/other requirements - Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Demonstrated Expertise (“DE”) developing reference designs of high-speed serial links (SerDes) and implementing eye diagram capturing capabilities for strategic partners in the automotive industry; DE connecting with strategic partners to understand their needs and visions for next-generation automotive infotainment systems and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS); DE developing prototypes involving serializer (Ser) and deserializers (Des) for Display Port (DP) output on Electronic Control Units, as well as using automotive SERDES applications and equalization techniques; DE providing partners with the correct firmware for their customized hardware using high-speed circuit knowledge and firmware programming skills; and DE writing Linux kernel driver and diagnostic software for high-speed SERDES interface.

Salary: $126,984.00 - $184,920.00/year
