We are Looking for:
Someone who is an experienced Physical Therapy Technician for an outpatient clinic. The PT Tech should support physical therapy care delivery by preparing the treatment area, patient, equipment, and materials; and performing procedures, under the supervision of a physical therapist.
Responsibilities:

Prepares treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.

Prepares patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming, comforting, providing and/or assisting the patient with physical therapy apparel or apertures.

Helps treat patients by applying heat packs; and paraffin dips; assisting patients into the whirlpool; helping patients onto exercise equipment, monitoring motion; tracking walking time and distance; measuring mobility; and performing prescribed exercises and strengthening techniques.

Ability to monitor vital signs

Educates patients by demonstrating the proper use of equipment and exercise routines.

Requires frequent bending, reaching, repetitive hand movements, standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, walking, squatting and sitting regularly throughout a regular work shift.

Consult other departments as appropriate to collaborate in patient care and performance improvement activities

Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Provides equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering equipment and supplies to the treatment area; positioning equipment for therapist access; and positioning the patient on equipment.

Ensures operation of physical therapy equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; and calling for repairs.

Enhances physical therapy department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.

Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
-
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or must be obtained within 30 days of hire
-
Minimum of one year experience as PT Tech preferred
