Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct land and construction site surveys using a variety of surveying instruments and tools.
- Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to ensure compliance with industry and legal standards.
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
- Direct or conduct surveys to establish legal boundaries for properties, based on legal deeds and titles.
- Coordinate findings with the construction team, architects, and engineers to ensure the project adheres to design specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Adjust and operate surveying instruments such as theodolites, lasers, and total stations.
- Manage and maintain records of all surveys and documentation for future reference.
- Work closely with 3rd party surveyors and construction personnel to discuss and solve issues related to surveying boundaries and results. (Work closely and coordinate the sub-contractors surveyors. Supervision and approval of the sub-contractor surveyors' work.)
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering, or a related field. (or Technician)
- Licensed as a Professional Land Surveyor. (or Technician)
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction surveying.
- Proficiency in using GPS and other surveying instruments.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data collection and analysis.
- Ability to work full-time, including Saturdays.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand for long periods, walk over uneven surfaces, and lift heavy equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
