We seek a full-time Grant Writer. This position reports to the Director of Development and focuses on grant writing and grant maintenance. This is a remote position that can be located anywhere in the U.S, preferably in California, New York, Washington DC, Denver, Chicago, or Atlanta.

This position reports to the Director of Development and focuses on grant writing.
Responsibilities
· Write materials for all steps of the grant proposal process, including organizational descriptions, letters of inquiry, formal proposals, grant reports and other development materials as needed.
· Work with multiple team members to create grant proposals and to track accomplishments for grant reports.
· Assist with maintenance of the grant-tracking database, calendar and reporting notification systems.
· Help update and expand research and statistics that support funding requests.
· Help identify new funding sources, and compile information about potential funders.
· Assist Small Business Majority VPs and Directors in other areas of development work as needed.
· Occasionally work on other writing projects, such as policy papers.
Requirements
· Superior writing and research skills
· of grant/proposal writing experience
· Self-starter
· Ability to work independently in a remote workplace setting
· Ability to collaborate remotely with team members
· Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
· Ability to organize and synthesize volumes of disparate information from multiple sources
· Comfort with Microsoft Office programs, including Word and Excel
Pluses
· Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce
· Small business experience
· Experience in some, or all, of the following fields: Entrepreneurship, healthcare, retirement security, access to credit
· Interest in advocacy, politics and public policy
