Job Summary
The Collections Manager will oversee the collections department, ensuring effective and efficient management of accounts receivable. This role involves developing strategies to improve collection rates, managing team performance, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop the collections team to achieve departmental goals.
- Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback and coaching.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, progress, and updates.
- Develop and implement effective collection strategies to minimize overdue accounts.
- Analyze collection processes and identify areas for improvement.
- Set clear objectives and KPIs for the collections department.
- Oversee daily collection activities, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Handle escalated collection issues and negotiate payment plans with clients when necessary.
Job Qualifications
Education/Certification Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in collections, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
