Licensed Psychiatric Technician
We are an Adult Residential Facility with capacity of 4 residents providing services to individuals with Developmental Delay. We strive to provide the best personalized care along with providing multidisciplinary clinical team focus on prevention through behavioral modes of education and therapy to build physical and mental health of residents.
(UPDATED)Applicants must be: Psychiatric Technician
- Documenting in the medical record: treatment plan compliance, conformity rules and regulations and behavioral observations.
- Providing progress reports on individual clients.
- Assess residents skills through observation, evaluation, and recording
- Provide on-going evaluation of individual client progress
- Provide direct and indirect care including taking and recording measures of the client’s physical condition such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse and respiration
- Implement de-escalation procedures and techniques and aid or to prevent injury to themselves or others through verbal or physical intervention
- Providing initial crisis intervention in situations of an emergent medical, psychiatric and/or behavioral situation
- Implementing training and/or experience in prevention and management of disruptive behavior, promptly addresses the situation by initiating appropriate action to secure safety
- Observes patients, charting and reporting changes in patients' conditions, such as adverse reactions to medication or treatment and taking any necessary action
- Provides monitoring and supervision of patients to support non-clinical staff.
- A assess patient needs to plan and modify care and implement interventions
- Provide oversight and maintenance of client files
- Provides personal care and behavioral assistance/interventions to assigned clients
- Assists clients with grooming, eating/meal preparation, and toileting
- Serve as point person for communication of all, but not limited to, appointments, vehicle use, staffing changes, and communication with consultants
Qualifications
· (Required) California Issued license as Psychiatric Technician
· THREE year experience (minimum)
· Experience in the mental health field, substance abuse field, or a residential healthcare facility.
Pre-employment Requirements
· DOJ/FBI Fingerprint clearance
· Current First Aid and CPR
· Physical and TB test'
