Overview:
The Director of Compensation is accountable for development and execution of the organization’s compensation activities (compensation plan structure, variable bonus plans, market competitiveness, short and long-term equity plans, etc.). The role is primarily responsible for planning, developing, and implementing compensations plans and programs that drive company performance. Additionally, this position is responsible for communications and processes related to new hire offers, internal equity analysis, and performance/merit cycle increases as well as the creation and implementation of proactive policies and procedures that support the organization’s goals.
Responsibilities:
- Administer compensation plans in compliance with company policies and government regulations through audits, legal reports, and personal interactions

Monitor policy, guideline, and procedural effectiveness

Monitor and maintain plans that are cost-effective and consistent with compensation trends and corporate objectives

Collaborate with stakeholders to improve processes and workflows
- Identify gaps and opportunities, develop responsive corrections, create and execute communication plans, and drive implementation to completion
- Supervise the participation and/or purchases salary surveys
- Develop and distribute base salary structures and company-wide incentive compensation and bonus plan documents.
- Analyze compensation data identifying trends, anomalies, gaps
- Creates appropriate dashboards, reports, or summaries that communicate the information to various stakeholders

Manage direct compensation administration (executive, exempt and non-exempt cash compensation programs)
- Process, record and report compensation-related actions
- Develop and maintain legally compliant job descriptions
- Oversee and mane the compensation committee board deck

Manage the annual incentive compensation and merit processes

Prepare compensation related job aids and training material

Prepare and facilitate training for incentive and bonus plans

Define and implement best practices that ensure compliance with organizational policies, licensor and/or accreditor standards, and legal regulations (local, state, and federal)

Support organization on all compensation matters; Consult on business strategies and goals

Partner and train business leaders to ensure compliance and understanding of compensation practices

Compile data for tracking, report key metrics, analyze data and make recommendations

Establish/maintain a high-performance team of professional, motivated and engaged staff utilizing effective training, performance management and career-development activities while leading them to achieve established business results and performance metrics
Qualifications:
Education / Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field (required)
- Minimum of eight (8) years of related experience in compensation/total rewards within a publicly traded company

Minimum of five (5) years in a leadership and management position

Expert level knowledge of HRIS systems and HR data (UKG and HRSoft preferred).

Expert functional skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Perform complex analysis (Excel) using pivot tables, Vlookup, conditional formatting, etc.
- Create forms and template letters for mail merge (Word)

Create engaging presentations for multiple audiences (PowerPoint)

Pay and Benefits

Salary range $165,000/yr - $175,000/yr, plus bonus
