Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized individual to work as a Parish Office Administrator. As the Parish Administrator, you will provide the administrative functions of the church office. This is a part-time position, 9am - 2pm Monday - Thursday.
Duties:
- Run all aspects of a church office.
- Manage the church's email and respond to and handle email promptly.
- Maintain church records, including membership information, vendor files and accounts
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings, building use and vendor appointments
- Create and prepare weekly bulletins, newsletters, and other communications
- Answer phone calls and greet visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Provide some general clerical support such as filing, copying
- Maintain the church's website and social media platforms
- Coordinate volunteers
Skills:
- Ability to create accurate and creative documents, mailings, website postings, media
- Familiarity with office management procedures and equipment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, gmail, Canva, Constant Contact, Publisher
- Strong multi-tasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all documents
- This is NOT a bookkeeping or data entry position.
