Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our team. As a Carpenter/Laborer, you will be responsible for various tasks related to construction and renovation projects. This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in flooring installation, trim carpentry, plastering, electrical work, stucco application, heavy lifting, blueprint reading, fixture installation, and water damage restoration.
Responsibilities:
- Perform flooring installation, including measuring, cutting, and laying various types of flooring materials
- Execute trim carpentry tasks such as installing baseboards, crown molding, and window casings
- Apply plaster to walls and ceilings to create smooth surfaces
- Fabricate and install electrical components such as switches, outlets, and light fixtures
- Apply stucco to exterior surfaces for weatherproofing and aesthetic purposes
- Assist with heavy lifting and moving of construction materials and equipment
- Read blueprints and follow specifications to ensure accurate construction
- Install fixtures such as cabinets, doors, windows, and hardware
- Participate in water damage restoration projects by assessing damage, removing affected materials, and implementing repairs
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter/Laborer in the construction industry
- Proficient in flooring installation techniques and materials
- Strong skills in trim carpentry and plastering
- Knowledge of electrical work and ability to handle basic wiring tasks
- Familiarity with stucco application techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor as required
- Proficient in reading blueprints and following construction specifications
- Experience with fixture installation is preferred
- Understanding of water damage restoration processes is a plus
