Job Summary: The Catering Manager is responsible for acquiring & maintaining new catering customers for Cowboy Chicken (Quick Casual Company) within a designated area. He/She is expected to meet or exceed given sales goals within that territory.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
- Build a comprehensive market strategy including weekly and monthly sales plans to meet and exceed catering sales revenue objectives within a designated area
- Prospect new catering customers by cold calling, office visits and in-restaurant tasting, community events, constantly prospect customers, etc
- Maintain new and existing catering relationships via in-person meetings, phone calls, emails, and mailing to ensure the catering experience exceeds customer expectations
- Act as Catering leader within designated area working closely with Director of Operations, GMs and other Catering Managers, Marketing Team and Catering Director to support the company in achieving positive sales and profits and ensure a smooth execution of the catering program
- Provide weekly communication to local management team to report new prospects, progress, developments, and opportunities
- Track and analyze sales progress and business trends regularly to determine what tactics are most effective and adjust accordingly
- Identify new marketing opportunities and contribute ideas to marketing plans and strategies
- Ensure compliance with all catering guidelines provided by the company with regards to menu specifications, pricing, discounting and any other policies
- Roll out catering strategies and initiatives in the local market as needed
- Personally, handles large orders, specific requests, and special orders
- Recommend efforts and training to address ongoing issues
- Foster Cowboy Chicken’s mission in the local market by embracing a culture of total customer experience & collaboration
- Become an expert in Cowboy Chicken’s catering including menu, pricing and services and culture
- Must be able to professionally present to a large group of potential customers
- Have deep knowledge of the local competition and Cowboy Chicken’s differentiated catering program
- This position requires time management skills to ensure success through field visits & phone calls
- Act as a brand ambassador at community events
- Attend trade and industry shows for catering prospects
- Set up special events (lift up to 50 lbs) and serve customers
- Store assignment is based on business needs and performance
- Must adhere to catering and event policies and guidelines as set forth by the company
- Performs other duties as assigned.
