Education and Experience
- Assistant Supervisor will have an AA degree in business management, engineering, or business administration, or equivalent ten (3) years of proven work experience in a production environment to qualify for the position or five (5) years with no degree.
- This position will support the applicable shift as assigned, by monitoring performance metrics, assisting in operations, developing employee skills and leadership, and relaying productivity concerns to the Production Manager.
- Reporting Responsibilities
· This position reports directly to the Production Supervisor
Supervisory Responsibilities
· At the direction of the Production Manager, the Shift Supervisor shall provide additional oversight, direction, and coordination of activities of all manufacturing personnel.
· Provide coaching and mentoring to ensure all positions within the facility are executing job responsibilities, in accordance with the GMP and SOPs for PSI.
Duties/Responsibilities
Responsible for holding monthly review meetings, and driving improvements in the following focus areas:
A. Safety
· Ensure strict adherence to Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) policies and procedures.
· Identify opportunities for improving job safety to promote a healthy work environment.
B. Quality
· Ensure that the manufacturing principles coincide with the company’s vision, mission, and priorities.
· Promote a culture of continuous improvement driven by the PSI Total Quality Management (TQM) System.
· Coordinate setup and implement operating procedures for all production activities. Ensuring the workforce can explain and execute to the SOPs set forth by upper management.
C. Productivity/ Schedule
· Maintains performance standards for the operations and employee performance.
· Drives continuous improvement efforts to achieve an efficiency goal of 95%.
· Execute manufacturing priorities at the direction of the Facility Supervisor, he/she must allocate the resources to maximize production efficiency.
· Supports the building of a solid team to achieve production goals.
· Ensures deadlines are achieved, and products are produced on time and are of good quality.
· Ensures the timely execution of the production schedule.
Required Skills/ Abilities
· Continually evaluates equipment capabilities to ensure manufacturing products are within acceptable quality & cost standards.
· Ability to provide leadership in a fast-paced production environment.
· Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
· Possess the ability to quickly learn and operate production equipment
· Understanding of applicable state safety and environmental regulations.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
