Currently, we’re seeking a Sr. Logistics Coordinator to join our team located in Houston, TX. The Sr. Logistics Coordinator for our 3PL Services division is responsible for managing transportation services for select key customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Sr. Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of transportation services for assigned customers. This role requires operational expertise to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of our transportation network. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, customers, and partner carriers to provide best-in-class transportation services that uphold our company’s high standards of quality and safety.
Transportation Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and management of transportation operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

Carrier Relations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and ensure compliance with service agreements.

Contract Management:
- Assist with the development & utilization of standard tariffs for Parcel, Less than Truckload (LTL), Truckload (TL), Air & Ocean Carriers
- Negotiate rates and contracts, and ensure compliance with service agreements with Customers and Carriers.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Track and analyze transportation metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to enhance service levels.

Cost Control:
- Develop and manage transportation budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize routing and scheduling.

Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all transportation regulations and company policies, including safety standards and environmental guidelines.

Customer Service:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their transportation needs, address any issues, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Technology Utilization:
- Leverage transportation management systems (TMS) and other technology solutions to streamline operations and improve efficiency.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in transportation management, preferably within a 3PL environment.

Strong knowledge of transportation regulations, industry best practices, and logistics technology.

Proven experience in carrier negotiation and contract management.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in transportation management systems (TMS), LTL Tariffs, Loadboards, and other relevant software.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and handle multiple priorities.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Transportation Operations – walking and standing throughout the day working with Operations Leadership and Associates.

Keyboarding - (Up to 8 hours per day) Entering text or data into a computer by means of a keyboard. Devices include a traditional keyboard, 10 keypads, a touch screen, and others.

Sitting/Standing - (Up to 8 hours per day) The ability to alternate between sitting and standing at a desk is present when a worker has the flexibility to choose between sitting or standing as needed when this need cannot be accommodated by scheduled breaks and/or lunch period.

Communication Verbally - (Up to 8 hours per day) Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.

Pay: $54,000 - $65,000

Occasionally an employee may be required to alter their shift, temporarily or permanently, or to work an additional day by coming in on their normally scheduled day off. Original assigned schedules are subject to changes as business needs change.
