Coordinates and completes Medicare/Medicaid cost reports, other regulatory filings as required by current regulations, including the development, implementation and maintenance of time studies, statistics, revenue and expense information.
Manages and submits information requests for Medicare/Medicaid audits.
Identifies and evaluates financial impact, prepares documentation, and files appeals for final settled Medicare/Medicaid cost reports.
Analyzes impact of audit adjustments and confirms audit issues are consistent with Medicare/Medicaid regulations.
Possess knowledge of current Medicare and Medicaid rules and regulations. Acts as a technical resource regarding all Medicare, Medicaid reimbursement issues.
Develops and maintains appropriate documentation for wage index and occupational mix surveys; evaluates the accuracy, consistency and effect on Medicare reimbursement
Prepares required data submissions for Medicare (federal) and Medicaid (state) disproportionate share reporting and audits.
Analyze critical computations such as disproportionate share, direct and indirect medical education, wage index data, and bad debts.
Manages the analysis of rate calculations provided by third party payers and governmental agencies for accuracy.
Coordinates the completion of provider-based attestations for outpatient locations, updates Medicare, Medicaid enrollment forms when needed
Develops and maintains good working relationships with Medicare Administrative Contractor.
Performs other job related duties as assigned
Communicate and explain significant changes in third party settlement accounts on a monthly and year-end basis to CFOs and other stakeholders
Review and prepare various financial analyses related to third party settlements as required by Senior Management.
Assists in the coordination of the annual base rate calculations and information associated with.
Assist with the documentation and account analysis for annual financial audit and associated work papers as required by Independent audit staff.
Prepares and reviews third party settlement account analysis under the direction of the management and as requested by Independent auditors.
Reviews financial statement schedules related to third party settlements for accuracy and reasonableness.
