Position Description : CDL Truck Driver/Class A/B/Boom Truck Driver
Reports To: General Manager
Job Summary:
Manage delivery loads as defined and prioritized by the dispatch coordinator while maintaining loads free of damage/loss. This position works closely with internal employees and collaborates externally with contractors and vendors.
RESPONSABILITIES:
-Manage delivery loads as defined and prioritized by dispatch coordinator and the management team.
-Conduct pre-trip inspections and report vehicle service and repair status to the lead mechanic.
-Deliver loads of precast concrete products and supplies with tractor-trailer truck or Boom Truck to specified destinations within Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut while maintaining the delivery schedule agreed upon between Weed Precast and the customer.
-Coordinate, supervise and assist with loading the product that is being delivered
-Proper strapping techniques for all loads, to include but not limited to large, heavy products
-Unload products on jobsite using crane when applicable
-Obtain receipts & signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required for COD loads.
-Aggregate hauling with dump truck
-Maintain logs of working hours and mileage
-Competent and full understanding of all DOT laws and regulations pertaining to our industry.
-Ensure proper safety equipment and PPE is being used at all times.
-Actively participate in all safety Training programs.
-Driver must communicate often and efficiently to maximize results and use of resources. External: To customers, vendors, and others daily.
-Keep the interior and exterior of trucks clean and neat. Always Present in a professional manner.
-Make sure truck beds are clear of debris to make loading and offloading more efficient.
-Lead by example and maintain a safety culture that includes zero accidents.
-Perform all other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
-High School diploma or GED
-CDL- Class A or B
-Clean Driving History
-Must be able to pass a background check, random drug testing and road test
-Crane Certification-preferred (willing to training and certify on the job)
-Dependable, Customer service oriented, team member and highly motivated.
-Excellent attendance
-Able to utilize best practices when it comes to safety, housekeeping, and quality of the product being delivered.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
