Responsibilities:
Paints Valves in preparation for inspection.
Performs valve assembly with or without assembly prints and instructions (Gate, Globe, Check, and Ball).
· Performs self-inspection on assembly work, verifying component stampings.
· Able to perform basic troubleshooting of equipment.
· Performs data entry of pertinent information into assembly traceability logs, statistical process control forms, or preventive maintenance logs as required.
· Performs basic material handling, preparation of final product to include forklift operation.
· Full understanding and adherence to the Plant Operation Procedures and operator work instructions.
· Assists in general shop maintenance and organization.
· Keeps organized the work area and assigned tool box.
· Cross-trains to occasionally work in other departments to meet organizational goals and objectives.
· Performs other duties as directed by the Production Supervisor.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
Strong mechanical aptitude
· High School diploma or equivalent required.
· Related and verifiable production assembly experience.
Preferred Skills:
Understand process sheets and basic blueprint reading.
· Ability to use hand tools, pneumatic air tools, and torque equipment.
· Effective verbal communication skills with positive attitude.
· Dependable, exhibits initiative, accountability and maximizes use of time.
· Good judgment and independent thinking to assure safe, accurate completion of assignments while meeting quality standards and production quotas. .
· Basic computer user skills.
· Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment.
· Able to work and thrive within a team concept.
· Problem solving skills.
· Forklift experience a plus.
· Valve Hydro Testing experience a plus
Additional Notes:
· Moderate physical activity.
· Requires manual handling of objects up to 65 pounds.
· Standing, reaching, bending, stretching, and walking.
· Work environment is not climate controlled, so will vary by season.
· Overtime could be required, as needed.
