A Enterprise Information Technology Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex systems and ensuring their performance, availability, and security. They work with both hardware and software systems, analyzing their functionalities, identifying issues, and proposing solutions. They use their technical skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as software developers, project managers, and information security, and ensure the systems meet client requirements. A systems engineer specialist also provides 2nd and 3rd level support to end-users and other team members as well as participate in an on-call 24/7/365 support rotation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure

Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools

Demonstrate superb technical competency, delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance and security

Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers and vendors to implement those fixes

Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies

Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks

Participate in the design of information and operational support systems

Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution 1

Develop and maintain system architecture and documentation

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, design, and implement solutions that meet client needs

Provide 2nd and 3rd level support

Participate in on-call rotation and provide timely resolution to system issues outside of business hours as needed
Required/Preferred Education and Experience
-
Bachelor’s degree required - Area of concentrate should include computer science, information technology, or a related field

A minimum of 5-10 years of related work experience

Experience with operating system deployments, application packaging, Citrix and with ITSM systems like Service Now
