Position Summary:
Perform inspections throughout the production process using precision measuring equipment. Review documents for accuracy, communicate with all departments and other departments to produce a final product that meets customer’s requirements.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
· Surface plate mechanical dimensional measurements utilizing manual precision measuring equipment (E.G height gage, micrometer, caliper, optical comparator, etc.)
· Operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) manually or using pre-existing proven automated programs.
· Perform visual inspection of surface finishes to verify conformance to standards and specification requirements.
· Inspection of surface roughness average measurements using precision surface roughness tester.
· Generate discrepant material reports and other quality reports as required.
· Actively participate in tool calibration system
· Work in a team environment and be supportive of all company initiatives.
· Communicate, support, and reinforce the values of the organization professionally.
· Flexible in perform and support in other duties and assignments
· Maintain a safe and organized work area.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Various other duties related to document control and clean room activities.
- Perform Leak testing
Job Qualification Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
· Ability to apply good inspection techniques with minimum supervision.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Basic computer literacy (e.g. write e-mails, locate and open files, etc.)
· Well-developed professional qualities (decisiveness, commitment, initiative, impact, energy and drive)
· The ability to communicate effectively to people in all levels of the organization.
· Ability to learn quickly and ask relevant questions, as necessary.
· Detail oriented with organizational skills.
Requirements:
· Ability to interpret manufacturing drawings/blueprints including GD&T
· Basic understanding of Lean Six Sigma concepts
· Ability to problem solve and adjust to changes in a fast-paced environment
· Adequate visual acuity
Work Experience:
· Machine shop experience a plus
Education:
· High School Diploma or GED
