Key focus areas include practice oversight of multiple specialties/practices, process improvement and supporting system goals, financial and budgetary oversight, and partnership with administrative and clinical leadership.
Leadership and oversight of practice operations in multiple specialties, providing support to direct and indirect reports. Responsible for ensuring the consistency of clinical and administrative operations.
Ensure adherence with MGB corporate policies & procedures, and alignment with both the MGB Medical Group and MGB Enterprise strategy.
Will exercise their solid understanding of financial principals and will address budget variances quickly and effectively.
Participate with the development of budgets and be accountable for results.
Will be responsible for working with contracted vendors to ensure compliance with enterprise standards and fiscal alignment.
Coordinate with MGB marketing to implement strategies to increase volume and drive new patients to clinics.
Will facilitate the consistent growth of the practice(s) by achieving annual visit volume (both in-person and virtual) and financial objectives each year.
Collaborate with Regional Executive Director, Regional Medical Director to guide the development of “best practice” performance standards related to service line access and capacity management, staff and provider schedules, productivity expectations, and patient flow.
Work collaboratively with MGB MG and Operational leaders to implement staffing models that are appropriate to the volume and intensity of services provided and the number and mix of clinical providers.
The Director will also work closely with the local medical leaders and operational managers on day-to-day clinical and business operations, including provider services (both face-to-face and virtual).
Monitor patient experience metrics and proactively address with medical and operational leaders those clinicians or practices not achieving performance expectations.
Ensures standard operational policies and procedures are followed consistently across practices as appropriate.
Promote a team-based practice environment where all staff work to the level of their license and/or training and demonstrate a commitment to the patient-centered care model and ambulatory flow.
In conjunction with the Regional Executive Director and Regional Medical Director develop a supportive, caring culture that fosters professional satisfaction, resiliency, and development and joy in the practice of patient care.
Accountable for establishing a culture of service excellence across all practice sites.
Ensure employee morale via open lines of communication and fair, equitable and transparent treatment. Helps foster an atmosphere that recognizes, celebrates, and rewards both individual and team accomplishment.
Directly supervises practice operational leaders and provides coaching and opportunities to professional development. Mentors and develops direct reports providing continuous support and feedback. Initiates counseling and disciplinary process as necessary. Ensures the operational leadership team serves as role models for the organization’s values and culture.
Responsible for business planning efforts in coordination with business finance subject matter experts, as well as being the key leader for reporting out on dashboards and any other performance tools.
