Job Title: Office Administrator

Job Summary:
The Office Administrator will assist the Office Manager in ensuring the smooth operation of office activities. This role involves a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, including phone systems, vendor management, calendar management, human resources, and general administrative tasks. The Office Administrator will be a key support person, helping to streamline office procedures and improve efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Office Manager with day-to-day operations and administrative tasks.
- Assist with human resources tasks such as onboarding and benefits administration
- Coordinate vendor relationships and contracts
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails, phone calls, and mail.
- Organize and schedule appointments and meetings, including coordinating logistics and preparing materials.
- Maintain and update office records, databases, and filing systems.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents as requested by the Office Manager.
- Greet visitors and direct them to the appropriate personnel.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned to support office operations.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications as an Office Administrator or Secretary are a plus.
- Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant, or relevant role.
- Understanding of human resources procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel, Word, and Outlook, in particular).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional and friendly demeanor.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience in the lumber or construction industry.
- Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles.
Work Environment:
- This position will be based in our office in Los Angeles, CA.
- Standard office hours with occasional requirements for overtime or weekend work to meet deadlines.
