Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional Engineer Registration in Texas
- 8+ years' experience in TxDOT Environmental, PS&E, and or Schematics
- In-depth knowledge of TxDOT procedures, regulations, specifications, and documentation requirements
- Proven ability to pursue and win TxDOT contracts
- Excellent communication and coordination skills for engaging with clients and meeting commitments
Responsibilities:
- Lead the charge in expanding TxDOT market share, leveraging your expertise and network
- Provide expert supervision to engineers, technicians, and designers on transportation projects
- Ensure seamless coordination of work to maintain high standards of quality and consistency
- Lead dynamic design teams, representing Freese and Nichols on exciting transportation ventures
- Collaborate with transportation staff on a variety of project elements, from roads and bridges to traffic control and environmental coordination
- Cultivate strong relationships with clients, fostering trust and partnership
- Direct and oversee complex studies and investigations, ensuring the integrity and efficacy of project decisions
- Keep abreast of industry regulations and technological advancements to stay ahead of the curve
- Act as a pivotal Project Manager on large-scale projects, facilitating collaboration and managing subcontractors
- Play a key role in contract administration and interpretation, ensuring smooth project execution
- Serve as a mentor to junior staff, guiding them to reach their full potential
- Craft engaging memos, reports, and specifications that convey our vision and expertise
- Thoroughly review plans to ensure compliance with TxDOT requirements
- Lead and inspire a diverse team of engineers and technical support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
