The Operations Supervisor is a support function that works closely with the Distribution Center Manager, all employees, scheduling, procurement, production, suppliers, IT, customers, and freight carriers. The position will include shared responsibility for all warehouse functions and day-to-day operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Follows all safety procedures in performing work as well as company policies.

Enforces all safety procedures and company policies.

Planning and control including work distribution and briefing of employees.

Plan and schedule delivery of goods and services daily and review for operational gaps and improvements.

Direct warehouse team on sequence to fill orders, to build pallets of finished goods against the pick ticket, review daily orders and adjust orders where required.

Planning and controlling the movement of goods within the agreed customer SLA's (Service Level Agreements)

Monitor and maintain the operations KPIs ensuring efficient utilization of resources and quality control.

Ensuring proper paperwork supports system transactions and Food Safety initiatives.

Prepare regular reports, perform audits on various operations and evaluate processes as per business requirements.

Analyze all opportunities and recommend ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Be knowledgeable about distribution channels, rules, regulations, and procedures.

Maintain good working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and partners.

Administer performance feedback in departments through efficient coaching and monitoring.

Monitor all administrative functions as per requirement.

Hire, train, and supervise warehouse staff.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS

1-3 years’ experience relating to unloading, receiving, and shipping practices in a warehouse environment.

Exceptional customer service skills

You have a high degree of personal responsibility, independence, as well as planning and organizational skills.

You have a dynamic, goal-oriented, and team-oriented personality with good communication skills and can work under pressure.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.

Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.

Ability to operate machinery and train others as required

Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, walk, kneel, and move for extended periods of time.

Must be able to work in a warehouse setting as well as an office setting.

Must be able to lift to 50lbs, with reasonable accommodation.

Keyboarding - (Up to 8 hours per day) Entering text or data into a computer by means of a keyboard. Devices include a traditional keyboard, 10 keypads, touch screen and others.

Sitting/Standing - (Up to 8 hours per day) The ability to alternate between sitting and standing at a desk is present when a worker has the flexibility to choose between sitting or standing as needed when this need cannot be accommodated by scheduled breaks and/or lunch period.

Communication Verbally - (Up to 8 hours per day) Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to clients or the public and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
