The Orange County Bar Association, Inc. (OCBA) Lawyer Referral and Information Service (LRIS) assists over 35,000 clients each year, by either connecting them to an attorney or an organization that is best suited to help them with their legal issue.
The LRIS is in search of a full-time Call Intake Specialist. The Call Intake Specialist is responsible for screening incoming calls to determine if a referral to an attorney is appropriate or if a referral to an outside resource is appropriate. If a referral is deemed appropriate the Call Intake Specialist is responsible for making the referral to a LRIS attorney member. The Call Intake Specialist is expected to maintain a high level of customer service for both the referral clients and LRIS attorney panel members. The ideal candidate will have the desire and patience to assist callers who are often in distress and will feel comfortable handling a high volume of calls throughout each day.
This is a full-time position Monday - Friday.
Required Skills/Qualifications:
-Excellent verbal communication skills and phone etiquette
-Prior experience in the legal field or degree in a law-related program
-Ability to learn and utilize a software program intended for collecting client data
-Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Preferred Skills:
-Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
-A two-year college degree
