Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a pasty kitchen
- Candidate must be able to come to work at 4 AM.
- Candidates must have a passion for baking and the desire to learn on the job.
- Candidates should have strong communication skills and be responsive to messages. They should have the ability to take feedback and direction well.
- Candidates should have a sense of urgency and hustle. This is non-negotiable as we work a pretty fast paced environment.
- Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Candidates should be able to work early morning shifts as our shifts start at 4am typically and sometimes earlier depending on the season.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, and breads according to recipes and standards
- Decorate pastries using various techniques, such as piping, glazing, and icing
- Ensure that all pastries are presented in an appealing and appetizing manner
- Monitor inventory levels and order ingredients as needed
- Collaborate with the catering team to create customized pastry options for events
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation regulations
Skills:
- Proven experience as a Pastry Cook or similar role
- Knowledge of different pastry techniques and baking methods
- Familiarity with pastry ingredients and their functions
- Ability to follow recipes accurately and consistently
- Attention to detail for precise measurements and presentation
- Creativity to develop new pastry recipes and designs
- Strong time management skills to meet production deadlines
