Job Description
This is a Data Analytics person with BA experience. Strong SQL. Able to run queries.
About the Role:
The ideal candidate should have 10+ years of Financial Services experience as well as background in dealing with Trading/Lending/Loans systems across various line of business will be an added advantage. Experience in implementing data solutions and Knowledge of big data platform will be a significant advantage.
The candidate will work closely with the product owner, Data Analysts, various technology teams, and core developers. Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills are essential to be successful in this role. On the Technology perspective, the candidate should have good SQL knowledge. Experience on Project Management will be key for the success in the role.
Responsibilities:
- Takes accountability, in partnership with technology leads, for successful delivery of designated projects to agreed schedule, scope and quality. This includes support of project delivery throughout full lifecycle, including through the SIT, UAT and migration phases.
- Establishes appropriate stakeholder engagement across Technology, Operations and Product for appropriate contributions to ensure the highest possible value-add project outcomes.
- Works with the Program Manager to ensure project governance and delivery process and methodology is effective, e.g. detailed IT work and milestone plans, schedules with milestones, estimates, resource plans, reporting and clear risk and issue management.
- All required tracking artefacts are regularly updated; toolkit and systems are optimally utilized.
- Applies in-depth knowledge of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.
- Ensures standard procedures are followed.
- Creation and maintenance of relevant project artefacts (risk and issues logs, project reports etc.)
- Identify, document, and understand project dependencies.
- Escalate project risks and issues to the Program Manager, Project Director, or Project Sponsor when/where appropriate.
- Creation of project status reports for Stakeholder and Senior management.
- Ensure Program/Project tracking of milestones and iterations are effectively managed as per Client standards.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in a related technology/business role
- Experience in delivering technology solutions.
- Subject matter expertise in financial industry
- Experience with data management programs
- Knowledge of various financial industry regulatory landscape
- Excellent documentation, analytical and process-based skills to produce process flow diagrams, business analysis, and functional design.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis.
- Experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
- Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis
- Experience in Project and Stakeholder Management.
- Knowledge of Big Data platform is a huge plus.
Education:
- Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Master’s degree
