POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the EVS Porter is to maintain the highest standards to ensure the quality and cleanliness in the Casino, Public Areas, and other required areas. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all PlayLV’s Company standards, policies, and procedures.
Top 5 Specific Job Functions:

Empty and clean ashtrays/urns and trashcans
-
Clean between slot machines, remove papers, glasses, debris, and discard all empty bottles
-
Remove trash from assigned areas
-
Remove trash and wipe down all tables from the Food Court
-
Assume the responsibility for keeping your assigned area maintained in accordance with policies and procedures.
Other Specific Job Functions:

Maintain the highest standards to ensure the quality and cleanliness in the Casino, Public Areas, Offices and other required areas

Keep assigned area clean of debris
-
Keep all equipment clean and free of marks
-
Keep all slot chairs/table chairs clean in assigned area
-
Remove spots from mirrors, doors, windows and walls, located in assigned area
-
Clean all bathrooms in assigned area as outlined in job procedures and as trained
-
Maintain equipment and supplies in an orderly manner as instructed by Supervisor
-
Report maintenance needs to the Supervisor

Report emergency repairs or situations to a Supervisor and/or Security immediately
-
Communicate with management and fellow co-workers using a two-way radio. Wearing an earpiece is required. Use of the EVS phone may be required depending on business demands

Deal with guests in a friendly manner, providing service and information when possible; contact Supervisor when unable to fully handle guest's needs to ensure proper handling

Assist in other areas as needed

Clean-up bio-hazards according to proper procedures

Performs all other job related duties as requested.

Requirements:
Required:

At least 6 months of experience in Environmental Services, public area or comparable positions.

Must be at least 21 years of age or older
-
High School diploma or equivalent
-
Ability to communicate with guests and clients, maintaining a friendly, polite demeanor at all times
-
Ability to communicate via a two-way radio with management and co-workers
-
Ability to follow and give directions effectively
-
Working knowledge of the property, all cleaning procedures, equipment and supplies
-
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
-
High School diploma or equivalent
-
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms
-
Excellent customer service skills
-
Professional appearance and demeanor
-
Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts

Able to lift 50lb

Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time

Work indoors and outdoors and be exposed to environmental factors such as excessive noise, seasonal heat and cold, hard to reach and unclean work areas, cigarette smoke, and hazardous materials and equipment.
Preferred:

Previous experience in Environmental Services, public area or comparable positions

Previous experience working in a similar resort setting
