Job Summary:
Under the general direction of the Plant Manager, the Quality Control Manager’s responsibilities are to supervise junior lab techs and to complete the assigned work on schedule, within the budget and to the quality of workmanship specified, In the performance of this function, it is the Quality Control Manager’s responsibility to protect and promote Zochem LLC’s interests in all matters and do whatever is reasonably necessary to discharge their duties and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
· Perform routine and non-routine analyses of raw materials, in process materials, finished goods or stability samples.
· Learn new lab procedures as needed.
· Compile laboratory test data and perform appropriate data analysis.
· Investigate or report questionable test results.
· Calibrate, validate and maintain laboratory equipment.
· Complete lab data sheets accurately and legibly.
· Maintain laboratory documents and records.
· Communicate out-of-specification or out-of-control situations to supervisors and/or production leads.
· Work with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and ensure product meets specifications.
· Ensure legal obligations are followed and ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and with health and safety guidelines.
· Gaining feedback from clients, attending meetings, submitting reports and assistin external auditors and inspectors.
· Experience with atomic absorption, ICP, surface area analysis preferred.
· Work with shipping and receiving to ensure timely customer shipments and sample receipts.
· Ensure that appropriate operational methods and procedures are used.
· Ensure lab employees receive effective training and maintain respective training records.
· Assist in performance evaluations of lab employees.
- Monitor and control laboratory expense spending.
Experience:
- Proven experience in quality control management, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- In-depth knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, CGMP standards, and quality systems and ISO
- Strong background in project management and implementing QA/QC processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in all quality control activities.
- Experience with AA and/or ICP machine a plus!
-Minimum 3 years supervisory experience.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
