Job Summary:
The Development Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting fundraising, marketing, and communication initiatives for our nonprofit organization. This position involves managing various aspects of fundraising, including email campaigns, events, social media, online and in-person events and campaigns, and donor communication. The Development Coordinator will work closely with the rest of the team to ensure effective coordination and implementation of fundraising and communication strategies. This is a virtual position and requires some traveling.
Key Responsibilities:
Email Campaign Management:
- Create and manage Mailchimp emails for fundraising campaigns
- Segment and target email lists to optimize outreach and engagement
- Implement strategies to grow the email list, open rates, and conversation rates
Fundraising Activities:
- Assist with fundraising activities, including online campaigns, in-person small events, and community presentations
- Collaborate with team members to plan, execute, and evaluate the success of fundraising events
- Create and maintain fundraising pages
Social Media Management:
- Monitor social media channels and respond accordingly
- Coordinate content creation for social media posts and website
- Support the digital marketing team
CRM Management:
- Effectively manage the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system to maintain accurate and up-to-date donor information
- Utilize the CRM for targeted outreach and donor segmentation
- Support the team by providing donor and campaign reports
Donor Data Analysis:
- Conduct analysis of donor data to identify trends, preferences, and areas for improvement
- Provide insights and recommendations to enhance fundraising strategies based on data analysis
- Support research on donors and prospects
Donor Communication and Engagement:
- Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with donors through regular communication: calls, emails, and texts (focus on base and mid-size donors)
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance donor engagement and satisfaction
Technical Support:
- Create and maintain donation forms and donation landing pages through our CRM software
- Monitor the website and report technical issues to tech team
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Graduate degree preferred
- At least 3 years experience in nonprofit fundraising and development
- Intermediate to expert proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets in order to analyze data
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with CRM systems and donor databases
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful insights

Compensation:
Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's quality, within the $50,000-$65,000 range. ISF offers a generous benefits package, including health insurance, retirement contribution, technology stipend, ten paid holidays, 12 vacation days, 5 sick leave days, and two weeks of paid maternity/paternity leave.
