Resource Wise LLC is currently seeking an AMI Sales Specialist (Advanced
Metering Infrastructure) for the state of New Mexico. This person will provide technical support and sales for AMI/AMR systems. The specialist will also be responsible for field work such as flow meter testing and troubleshooting. The Specialist will work directly with municipalities, public/private utilities, and engineers to develop solutions utilizing AMI systems integrated with advanced water loss and monitoring hardware and software. The specialist will work closely with the Resource Wise teammates and be responsible for growing solutions sales and strengthening existing customer base. The specialist will be required to work out of the Albuquerque office.
Functions and Responsibilities:
· Work with outside sales teammates to promote, develop and grow sales.
· Provide technical leadership (hardware, software, communication paths) in meeting the technology needs of cities and utility customers.
· Field test flow meters. Occasionally requires working inside meter vaults.
· Work with engineering firms to develop technical specifications and RFP documentation.
· Work with Smart Utility Team to develop and implement new solutions focused on helping utilities increase their revenue and streamline system processes.
· Attend and participate in regional trade shows promoting Resource Wise services and AMI Smart Utility solutions.
· Promote, grow, and strengthen vendor relationships.
· Travel assigned territory with overnight requirements.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
· Must be an analytical thinker and highly proficient in math.
· AMI and AMR water meter and/or utility operations experience preferred.
· Outside sales experience. Sales in the water works industry is a plus.
· Strong preference for experience with Kamstrup products.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Power Point, and Microsoft Word.
· Experience developing technical proposals relating to advanced metering solutions.
· Experience responding to RFP’s and RFQ’s.
· Conduct project communications with strong written, oral and presentation skills.
· Must demonstrate the ability to facilitate meetings and presentations involving technical and multi-departmental audiences.
· Must possess excellent interpersonal skills in working with others inside and outside the company..
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
At least two (2) years of outside sales or implementation of advanced metering solutions or Engineering background or water operator level 2 or higher. Experience working in the water works industry is preferred, however experience with electric and or gas utilities is acceptable.
