Job Purpose:
The position assists to monitor business performance of the Branch. The responsibilities include but are not limited to conducting business and financial analysis, tracking business target achievement goal of the Branch, and handling business reporting and IT/business projects involving the Branch. The Associate will also conduct CRA service and Branch level reporting, performs ABAC assessment record retention and data governance project. The Associate will also coordinate financial statement audit project involving the Branch, update and maintain Branch policy procedures related to ABAC and pricing strategy, assist business departments in pricing research and conduct human resource duties.
Job Responsibilities:
Business/Financial Analysis and Reporting
· Monitor business tasks and goals achievement progress of the Branch.
· Conduct and consolidate monthly business performance report for the Branch.
· Conduct research reports, business inquiries and other requests involving the Branch and submit to internal departments, domestic branches or Head Office upon request.
· Perform ad hoc assignment and reporting upon request.
· Conduct and consolidate financial forecast reports upon request.
· Assist communicating with related department in creating marketing and advertisement materials when needed.
· Coordinate between each department or section to achieve better communications and cooperation.
CRA Donation and Service
· Propose donation and/or sponsorship event involving the Branch in comply with the Bank-wide Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) program policy and procedure, including but not limited to CRA policy and procedure, donation and sponsorship procedure, ABAC policy and procedure.
· Collect and consolidate CRA loan activity, if any, from Business Development Department of the Branch.
· Collaborate with New York Branch correspondent departments to perform CRA service, and provide CRA service planning upon request.
· Provide CRA related reporting.
· Promote the Branch’s product and service and BOC brand.
Compliance and Audit
· Act as ABAC point of contact of the Branch.
· Coordinate with various compliance projects and audit projects involving the Branch.
· Update departmental guidelines related to ABAC and pricing strategy.
· Cooperate with QCU to conduct risk assessment and related assignment when needed.
· Coordinates in financial statement audit project involving the Branch.
· Understand, comply with and monitor the activities, if necessary, of all applicable laws and regulations regarding Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, and suspicious activity reporting
IT/Business Project
- Assist implementation of business or IT projects and report to relevant department accordingly when involving the Branch.
- Act as Record Retention Coordinator and Data Governance Point of Contact of the Branch.
Business Operation
· Maintain proper communication between Queens Branch Banking department and Domestic Branch on certification requests for customers.
· Assist Safe Deposit Box Section to conduct pricing research.
Administration
· Assist in human resource duties involving the Branch, including but not limited to updating staff analysis, job description and employee hiring process.
· Handle consultant recruitment and monitoring duties, compile consultant budget following the Bank’s policy and procedure.
· Strictly comply with BOC Global Service Standard and BOCNY performance evaluation.
Job Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree or above, major in Finance, Economics, Accounting or relevant fields preferred
· Minimum 3 years of Banking experiences
· Management experiences preferred
· Demonstrate knowledge in financial/banking industry, regulatory and compliance, and due diligence process preferred
· Bilingual ability in Mandarin and English required
The salary ranges for the Associate position is $42,000-$90,000. Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.
