The Control Room Operator controls the day-to-day operations of the production lines within the facility. Strategically operates wash lines from the control room utilizing a comprehensive staging of cameras to monitor material flow as well as to proactively look for areas of concern and/or improvements. You will communicate via radio systems to different personnel regarding issues observed and convey information effectively such that the appropriate personnel is dispatched to rectify the situation.
Compensation: $16.50-$20/hr.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Continuously check for operations shortcomings on the production line using strategically positioned cameras to maintain oversight on all plant conditions.
- Start and stop manufacturing lines to keep a steady stream of raw materials for processing.
- Keep track of plant parameters and make sure they are kept within operational setpoints.
- Records wash line data to review and compare with known operations standards to ensure optimal operating conditions.
- Discuss any issues, snags, or causes for line pauses and starts with the process engineer for quick resolutions to problems.
- Reports all findings/ issues to process engineer to ensure appropriate escalation measures are being followed.
Preferred Skills:
- 1 year of Control Room experience.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- Be able to work long periods of time sedentary with minimum breaks.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must have a High School Diploma or GED
- Must have basic knowledge of mechanical principles, electrical theory, and manufacturing processes.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment in a similar position preferred.
- Must demonstrate high levels of attention to detail and situational awareness of the production floor.
- Must be able to communicate with others and teammates.
