Description:
The Director of Materials Management is responsible for creating a best-in-class operational process while collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, Demand/Supply Planning and Manufacturing. Must oversee multiple projects simultaneously and must have expertise in overseeing planning, production and demand, and scheduling initiatives. Responsible for overseeing shipping and receiving function including costs, people, processes and technology.
Requirements:
- Manage supply chain and distribution to ensure inventory is staged correctly to achieve sales goals while aligning with production demands.
- Manage third party manufacturing partners and coordinate supply chains with production and customer demands including Domestic and International partners.
- Ensure containment of shipping and other costs through effective sales and planning operations.
- Oversee shipping and receiving people, processes, and technology.
- Identify any bottlenecks or delays in production; ensure materials and other resources are available to relieve production bottlenecks and delays.
- Ensure achievement of both revenue and inventory goals through successful scheduling and sales process.
- Aggregate large amounts of data to tie together in a context relevant story designed to drive action.
- Develop models and workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency of planning and scheduling.
- Lead process for supply-demand balancing, in-quarter execution, constraints, allocations and forward-looking projects.
- Manage scheduling and procurement personnel.
- Additional duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher degree in related field preferred
- Experience in adapting to meet or exceed growth objectives and adapt to changing market conditions
- Experience controlling a supply chain that is domestic and international
- Experience and training in Lean Manufacturing
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstration of leadership, team building, and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Verse in conflict resolution techniques
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Proficiency with Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), ERP and Shop Trak
- Understanding of fabrication and assembly processes
- Ability to travel to third party manufacturing partners
