Job purpose
The Junior Software Developer role will have strong skills in .NET Framework, .NET Core, and C#, as well as experience with Microsoft SQL Server and a passion for software development. This role involves resolving tickets, fixing bugs, assisting senior developers, supporting QA with testing, and researching technical issues. Most of the work will be focused on developing and maintaining websites, web services, and APIs. This is an on-premises position.
Duties and responsibilities
Ticket Resolution: Address and resolve software tickets promptly and efficiently.
Bug Fixes: Identify, diagnose, and fix software bugs to ensure optimal performance.
Support Senior Developers: Assist senior developers with coding, debugging, and project tasks.
Testing: Collaborate with the QA team to support testing efforts and ensure software quality.
Research: Investigate and research technical issues to provide innovative solutions.
Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation for all development activities.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; or comparable experience.
Experience:
Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in production environments.
Proficiency in .NET Framework and/or .NET Core, and C#. VB.Net experience is helpful but not required.
Experience with ASP.NET WebForms based Web Applications.
Experience with SQL including scripts, stored procedures, and relational databases.
Experience with Web APIs built on .NET including REST, WCF, and/or SOAP
Familiarity with software development lifecycle and methodologies.
Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Strong technical debugging skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Json.
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
Experience with Azure DevOps or similar system for work tracking
