THE JOB:
As the Lead Lifeguard, you will oversee the pool staff to ensure safety standards, service delivery, cleanliness, and ambiance are met. You will work with supporting departments to address operational needs, ensure staff monitors water and deck areas, respond to emergencies, and adhere to safety, health, and welfare regulations for guests and employees. You will report all incidents to a supervisor and complete necessary documentation. Additionally, you will ensure staff greets and interacts with guests according to service standards, assist guests with poolside needs, promptly resolve guest issues, and supervise daily pool setup, breakdown, cleaning, and linen distribution to enhance the guest experience.
THE STARTING RATE: $17.00/hr
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Oversee the pool staff to meet safety standards, service delivery, cleanliness, and ambiance; work with supporting departments to meet operational needs of the area.
Ensure the staff is providing safety by watching over water and deck areas and responding to emergency situations; adhere to company policies and legal requirements regarding safety, health, and welfare of guests, employees, and the property.
Report all guests and employee incidents/accidents to a supervisor and complete needed documentation.
Ensure the staff is proactively greeting and interacting with guests while adhering to company service standards.
Assist guests with poolside needs, including seating, towels, hours of operations, ADA requirements, amenities, directions, and other needs.
Respond and resolve guest needs in a timely manner and creatively solve problems with the ability to anticipate, recognize, evaluate, and resolve potential difficulties.
Supervise the completion of daily pool set-up and breakdown needs, cleaning, linen distribution, and maintaining attentiveness to the environment to enhance guest experience.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Prior experience as a lifeguard or in a similar high-volume pool environment.
Prior customer service experience in a similar guest facing position.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment.
Must be able to swim to obtain the Lifeguard certification.
Comfortable with working in various outside weather conditions.
Flexibility to work various shifts/hours as needed.
