Pediatric Associates at Ridge is seeking a full time Medical Assistant/Lab Technician. The candidate should have experience working in Pediatrics and have a valid medical assistant, or phlebotomist certification. Candidates must be proficient in customer service skills, team oriented, dependable, honest, responsible, and bilingual in English/Spanish. Candidate must be able to multitask and must demonstrate the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment while paying close attention to detail. As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of a pediatric medical office. You will support the Physician, Mid-level providers and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality customer service and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history.
- Update medical records and notes.
- Assist during medical examinations, procedures and administer vaccines.
- Document procedures and vaccines in the medical record.
- Prepare, sanitize and stock all treatment rooms and medical instruments
- Perform laboratory procedures: Veni puncture, Covid, RSV, Flu. Process specimen samples.
Skills
- Proven working experience as a medical assistant, lab technician
- Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
- Social perceptiveness and customer service service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software.
- Knowledge of EMR systems
- Licensed medical assistant
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician
