The Arc Greater Hudson Valley NY is currently seeking a Residential Program Manager
Location: Town of Poughkeepsie,
Dutchess County, NY
Program Manager Responsibilities:
- Provide direction, management, and leadership of day-to-day operations of the Individual Residential Alternative’s
- Ensure effective and appropriate services are provided to all individuals.
- This position promotes behavior change and growth in skill development with each individual served. Attention to detail and promotion of a great team atmosphere is vital.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Prior OPWDD experience highly preferred
- 2 years Managerial Experience Required
- Previous experience in the human services field required
- Must have a valid Driver's License with one year driving experience
- 40 hours plus hours based on the needs of the business
Essential Job Functions:
Essential Job Functions are outlined below and may vary based on the circumstances at each location. In this fast paced environment the ability to prioritize tasks based on circumstances is essential, as is the ability to foster and develop a strong team.
1. Provides support, professional development and feedback to Assistant Manager and Direct Support Professionals
2. Responsible for ensuring appropriate staffing levels are met and that coverage is secured 3. Responsible for administration of medications in accordance with OPWDD guidelines and after successfully completing the required training and certification course
4. Works directly with staff and people living in the residence in all areas to build skills and provide a clean, safe and comfortable home environment, as desired by the people supported
5. Responsible for participating in staff, team and other meetings as needed
6. Follows up on the implementation of Personal Outcome Measure® information by discussing the same with staff and people supported to identify areas to achieve outcomes, identifies and connects people or support staff with community resources to achieve stated goals. Is expected to undertake POM interviewer training within first 12 months of hire
7. Acts as a resource to staff and people supported to ensure quality of life is paramount in all aspects of the job
8. Ensures staff are aware of and are able to implement the philosophy of person directed supports and services
9. Train and develop staff on compliance and quality issues
10. Ensure that all regulatory requirements at the location are met and exceeded, including the keeping of accurate records
11. Provide regular written and verbal reports to Residential Director and Residential Coordinator on quality, compliance and person directed planning outcomes
12. Performs other duties and special projects as assigned by supervisors

Responsible for fostering a strong team and building enduring professional relationships with direct reports.
