Adaptivestack Technologies Inc. is looking for a Senior Jira Support Analyst to join our Clinical Services Product Line Support team with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
The qualified candidates will blend your knowledge of agile with a passion for solving problems and supporting tools as part of the team. The objective of this role is to lead Jira Standardization efforts and user support of Agile tools to enable end to end visibility across the entire product line. As a change agent, you will be instrumental in leading, influencing and executing against the agile tool's roadmap. We are committed to continuous improvement and best in class adoption and support through engagement, onboarding, and ongoing management of these tools by capturing and understanding end user feedback, solving their issues and helping to ensure efficient usage. - Provide hands-on support to integrate tools and drive data/workflow standards across a suite of tools, especially Jira, Jira Advanced Roadmaps and Jira Align.
- Understand and analyze how Jira instances are used for current day-to-day work. Identify and document the gaps of current implementation against standard templates.
- Serve as a liaison between Scrum teams and VA DevSecOps team to lead and coordinate Jira Standardization activities.
- Perform Jira administration and configuration to include user management.
- Provide trainings, administrative and technical support of new Jira project setups and Jira related requests.
- Support Jira planning and implementation, including configuration and creation of epics, stories, and tasks. Create and maintain Jira filters, reports and dashboards.
- Ability to proactively seek out, collaborate and establish relationships with critical partners, such as multiple Scrum teams, Scrum Masters, Product Managers to ensure integration, coordination & execution of work.
- Understand existing processes and identify how to improve and streamline them to improve team efficiency and effectiveness with a focus on SAFe framework.
- Understand the client’s business issues and data challenges.
- Willingness to take the lead on small projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in: Business, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific /technical discipline, 15 years of related experience. 10 years of additional experience may be substituted for education.
Required Skills and Experience
- Detailed understanding of how to configure, administer and support Jira/Jira Align to be in alignment of standardized templates.
- Prior experience in supporting user community to troubleshoot and resolve issues in Jira /Jira Align/Agile Tools.
- trong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and supervision as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines (short turnarounds sometimes required)
- Well written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in JQL
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products such as Word and Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships with other teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to think “outside of the box” while communicating or dealing with coworkers and stakeholders having various skill sets and for different situations.
- Preference will be given to those individuals where their primary residency is located in a qualified HUBZone (http://map.sba.gov/hubzone/maps/)
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Certification, Knowledgeable of Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe), Lean Kanban, DevSecOps or other iterative development approaches (highly preferred).
- Strong facilitation, written and communication skills.
- Experience with Power BI, GitHub, JIRA, Confluence, SharePoint, and Teams (highly preferred).
