Materials and Fuels Complex "MFC" Reactors Training Manager - (21322)
DESCRIPTION
Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Reactors Training Manager to work in our Materials and Fuels Complex. Our team works a 4x10 schedule located out of our Idaho Falls facility with every Friday off. You will report to MFC Business Division Director.

INL is recognized as the lead national laboratory for the United States Department of Energy, Office of Nuclear Energy, providing much of the nuclear research, development, and demonstration capability needed to move nuclear innovation forward to deployment. MFC hosts a unique combination of personnel, facilities and infrastructure and offers the ability to perform research and development of nuclear fuels from fuel design, development and fabrication, and post irradiation analysis. MFC is plays an important role in supporting the National Reactor Innovation Center, which provides resources for testing, demonstration, and performance assessment to accelerate the deployment of new, advanced nuclear technology concepts.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Provide leadership for reactor operations training to support achievement of INL strategic goals and operations excellence.
Use highly specialized operational and technical experience to develop and implement Department of Energy (DOE) Order.
Build Systematic Approaches to Training (SAT), based facility-specific training and qualification programs for MFC.
Provide oversight in the instruction of operations and support personnel in the theory and operation of nuclear and radiological facilities including TREAT, NRAD, and advanced reactor test bed reactors in classroom settings and on the job training.
These programs are equivalent to both licensed and non-licensed training programs in the commercial nuclear power industry.
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree and 7 years related experience or high school and 15 years or relevant experience.
Experience must be in commercial nuclear power, nuclear Navy, or DOE nuclear laboratory.
Must have completed courses in training that focus on instructional analysis, design, development, delivery and testing and evaluation of training programs.
Must hold or have held a senior reactor operator (SRO) certification/license.
JOB INFORMATION:
- The pay range for this position is $103,032 $262,740 . At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience , and other credentials.
