Ramen Danbo brings traditional Fukuoka style Kyusyu Hakata Tonkotsu ramen to Japanese food fans in New York. The aroma of our signature Tonkotsu broth is unmistakable – a simple but truly delicious umami, always made daily in-house.
We are currently looking for a permanent and full-time qualified Assistant Kitchen Manager who loves Japan, Japanese cultures and/or Japanese food to join us.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
· Make daily decisions that involve work shift, food quality, cleanliness and the other Company standards
· Determine daily and season menu and the related services to be offered
· Recruit, hire branch staffs and oversee the training and performance
· Set staff schedules and monitor staff performance
· Record and review timesheets, employee benefits, etc.
· Check and maintain inventory levels and order supplies for the restaurant
· Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
· Report sales and expense record to company executive management
Qualifications:
· NYC Food Handlers required
· Several years of previous supervisory experience in the food service sector is required
· Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking skills
· Ability to work independently and make decisions confidently
· Leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills
· Responsible and Reliable to show up for work on time
· Completion of High School Diploma/Equivalent is required
Language Ability:
Good communication and interpersonal skills are required. It also requires the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business memos, including financial data. This position is not required to speak and read Japanese but it is an asset.
